8" Trinitron monitor, produced from the mid 1980s to early 1990s. Uses the same frame and chassis as the PVM-8020 and BVM-8021, but has a metal case that can be rack mounted. Unlike the portable models, it has a tally light option but is missing the speaker & battery slots. Includes two composite video inputs.

A high resolution version, the PVM-8221, was also produced. It uses a fine pitch 450 TVL tube.
The tube in this monitor is the same as Sony's 8" consumer TVs, including the KV-8AD11 and KV-8AD12. The yoke is also compatible, and the whole assembly can be swapped between the two (although the PCB connector will have to be replaced).
This tube can also be used in later model 8" PVMs, such as the PVM-8040, PVM-8041Q, and PVM-9L2. However, in this case the yoke is not compatible and must be changed when doing a tube swap.
